Candlelight: Tribute to ABBA Worcester Concert reviews
Puscifer great, venue middling, opener was awful
The tracks of Vagina Mine and Humbling River were just okay in the re-imagined version, which made me appreciate the originals more. The pre-show information was lacking with conflicting start times (one site said 8pm, another 7pm). The correct start time for the opener was 8pm. It was a mystery that there was an opener, as it wasn't clearly stated anywhere except for some subtext on a graphic on McFarlin's website. This may have been intentional, possibly because they were terrible. The venue itself had a mix of positives and negatives. The seats were comfortable, views were great, and the architecture was interesting. The sound quality was good, making it one of the more unique venues I've been to. However, the poor organization of the merch stand and concessions overshadowed the experience. The merch booth had disorganized and slow-moving lines that blocked access to seats. The drink lines were long and slow, causing us to delay our purchases. The concession line snaked around and backed up into the auditorium, becoming insanely long and slow. When we tried to purchase later, the concessions were completely sold out. It seems like this venue is not accustomed to hosting these types of shows.
